A Simple IELTS Speaking Practice Routine
Build speaking confidence with a repeatable daily practice routine and thoughtful self-review.
A short, consistent practice session can be easier to maintain than a long session once a week. Choose one familiar topic, record a one-minute answer, and listen again for clarity rather than trying to sound perfect.
Practise in three rounds
First, answer without notes. Next, repeat the answer and add one specific example. Finally, listen for repeated words, long pauses and unclear sentence endings.
Keep a small vocabulary notebook, but use new words only when they fit naturally. Memorised answers can sound unnatural, so practise expressing your own experiences in different ways.
This routine is a learning exercise, not an official IELTS score prediction. Use current official IELTS materials for test-format details and practise with feedback from a qualified teacher.
